A World Mourns
On Feb. 1, 2003, the Space Shuttle Columbia was lost during its re-entry
into Earth's atmosphere. As NASA mourns the loss of seven family
members, we will attempt the best we can to honor the passing of true heros.
The tragic loss of the STS-107 crew and the Space Shuttle Columbia has hit us all. This segment is dedicated in the memory of those fallen heros and is a reminder of why they do the things they did, and why we as Americans and we as a global community of HUMANs; need to remember and pay honor to the reasons for such sacrifice. This story is not just a tribute to the seven we lost this week, but a story of countless thousands who have paid the ultimate price for the advancement of human kind.
